Growing Your Dental Practice: 10 Ways to Advertise Locally
There are a number of creative, and relatively inexpensive, ways to increase your business by advertising your services to your local community. Try these:
1. Postcards – A potential patient may not open a solicitation letter, but will take a few seconds to turn over a postcard.
2. Remember Birthdays – Mail birthday cards to your patients to build good will.
3. Local Radio – A short, creative radio ad won’t break your bank account and will get your name in the mind of the public.
4. Local Newspaper Column – If you can sell the idea of a regular column to a local newspaper editor, you can use the column as a jumping-off point to becoming an expert in the eyes of your local community.
5. Patient Newsletter – A newsletter will remind patients of you and is a great tool for bringing in referral business.
6. Speaking Engagements – Offer your expertise to local organizations.
7. School Visits – During National Children’s Dental Health Month, visit schools and scout groups, and send home business cards and toothbrushes.
8. Reminder Calls – Decreases lost revenue due to no-shows
9. Referral Cards – Give patients cards to distribute to friends that showcase your specific background and strengths.
10. Special Events – Invite patients and the greater community to an open house event at least yearly.
